transitioned
into swamp in a
few places.

Boggy miniature
swamps
formed in small depressions within the forest.
Water Locust was usually
associated with the cypress.
With the water level very low this year, One could walk carefully with
rubber boots through parts of the swamp.
Cypress knees and butressed stumps
were exposed.
Large cypress trees were
impressive.
